Until recently, alcohol was not in this category, until researchers came up with a device that would enable ingesting alcohol without going through the normal process of swallowing a liquid, allowing people to get high without going through the taste buds. However, 17 states have now banned the Alcohol Without Liquid (AWOL) device.
